Private Piano Lessons are Available
When a community instructor is available, and we have interested children, St. James Lutheran School strives to provide an opportunity for children to enroll in piano lessons during our school day. When available, an instructor comes to the school to give lessons. Your child will have a thirty minute lesson. The time is arranged between the child's teacher and the instructor to minimize disruption to the classroom and to help avoid the child missing critical elements of instruction. The piano instructor will inform the parent of recitals and other events connected to the child's instruction. The fee and payment arrangements are made between the instructor and parent. You pay for lessons scheduled while school is in session. If school is cancelled because of weather or there is no scheduled school that week, the lesson payment is credited. Other information regarding payment for missed lessons for illness or other reasons are the responsibility of the parent. If interested in lessons, the classroom teacher or principal will arrange for the instructor to contact you. We are currently looking for a piano instructor for the 2017-18 school year. Interested candidates should contact the school administrator.
